The Make in India initiative was officially launched by the Government of India on September 25, 2014.
Initially, 25 key sectors were identified, including automobiles, electronics, defence manufacturing, pharmaceuticals, textiles, food processing, and renewable energy, among others.
It aims to attract investment by improving the business environment, simplifying regulations, providing infrastructure support, promoting innovation, and offering incentives for manufacturing.
