This statement came as he addressed concerns over visible bruising on his hands, which he attributed to his daily intake of aspirin. Trump indicated he takes a higher dose of aspirin than recommended by his doctors, a practice he claims to have maintained for 25 years due to being "a little superstitious" and wanting "nice, thin blood" flowing through his heart. Medical experts, however, have raised concerns regarding the potential dangers and limited benefits of high-dose aspirin for primary prevention, citing risks such as gastrointestinal bleeding and hemorrhagic stroke. Furthermore, Trump clarified a previous statement about undergoing an "MRI" in October 2025, confirming instead that the procedure was a CT scan of his heart and abdomen. He expressed regret over the scan becoming public, believing it fueled unnecessary speculation about his condition. Despite these concerns, his physician, Navy Capt.
