Poco has officially announced the global launch of its latest M-series smartphones, the Poco M8 Pro 5G and the Poco M8 5G. The Poco M8 5G has been simultaneously launched in India. The Poco M8 5G is powered by the Snapdragon 6 Gen 3 chipset, built on a 4nm process, and is paired with up to 8GB of RAM and 256GB of UFS 2.2 storage. It features a 6.77-inch FHD+ AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate, 3200 nits peak brightness, and a 5520mAh battery with 45W fast charging. The device also boasts IP65 and IP66 dust and water resistance ratings and promises four years of OS updates and six years of security updates. The Poco M8 Pro 5G, targeting global markets, is equipped with the more powerful Snapdragon 7s Gen 4 mobile platform and features a larger 6.83-inch 1.5K CrystalRes Flow AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate and 3200 nits peak brightness. It is backed by a substantial 6500mAh silicon-carbon battery that supports 100W HyperCharge. The device also boasts impressive durability with IP66, IP68, IP69, and IP69K ratings. Both phones run on Android 15 with Xiaomi's HyperOS 2 on top and offer AI features. The Poco M8 5G is positioned as a budget-friendly 5G option in India, with pricing starting around ₹15,999 during launch offers. The Poco M8 Pro 5G's global pricing starts at approximately $299 for the base variant.
