6.5 Crore Voters Removed in India's Electoral Roll Revision: SIR 2.0

Around 6.5 crore electors have been removed from the draft electoral rolls of nine states and three Union Territories as part of India's Special Intensive Revision (SIR) 2.0 exercise. The deletions are attributed to reasons such as voters being absent, shifted, deceased, or having multiple registrations. Uttar Pradesh recorded the highest number of deletions.
