Delhi Court Orders Release of 4 in Riots Case; Umar Khalid Denied Bail

A Delhi court has ordered the release of four individuals—Gulfisha Fatima, Meeran Haider, Shifa Ur Rehman, and Mohd Saleem Khan—after they fulfilled bail conditions set by the Supreme Court. The Supreme Court had previously granted bail to these five accused in the larger conspiracy case related to the 2020 Delhi riots, while denying bail to activists Umar Khalid and Sharjeel Imam. The fifth accused, Shadab Ahmed, also granted bail, is yet to furnish his bonds.
