Apple has officially launched 'Creator Studio,' a new subscription bundle aimed at creative professionals and enthusiasts, offering a comprehensive suite of its powerful creative applications. This new service, announced today, consolidates several of Apple's esteemed professional tools including Final Cut Pro, Logic Pro, Pixelmator Pro, Motion, Compressor, and MainStage. Notably, Pixelmator Pro is making its debut on the iPad as part of this bundle.
The 'Creator Studio' subscription is priced at $12.99 per month or $129 annually in the U.S., with a discounted rate of $2.99 per month or $29.99 per year for college students and educators. It will become available through the App Store starting Wednesday, January 28, and includes a one-month free trial for new subscribers. Customers purchasing a new Mac or a qualifying iPad with an A16, A17 Pro, or M-series chip are eligible for an extended three-month free trial.
Beyond the core creative applications, the bundle also unlocks exclusive AI-powered features and premium content across Apple's iWork suite, including Keynote, Pages, Numbers, and later, Freeform. These AI enhancements aim to streamline workflows, offering tools like Beat Detection in Final Cut Pro and intelligent content generation in productivity apps. While the subscription offers significant savings compared to purchasing each app individually, Apple has confirmed that the Mac versions of Final Cut Pro, Logic Pro, Motion, Compressor, and MainStage will still be available for one-time purchase, providing flexibility for users. This move positions Apple more directly against competitors like Adobe Creative Cloud in the booming creator economy.
