NASA has officially confirmed that the three-member Expedition 74 crew is continuing essential research and maintenance activities aboard the International Space Station (ISS) following the recent return of the SpaceX Crew-11 mission. The Crew-11 mission, comprising NASA astronauts Zena Cardman and Mike Fincke, JAXA astronaut Kimiya Yui, and Roscosmos cosmonaut Oleg Platonov, successfully concluded with a splashdown in the Pacific Ocean off the coast of California on January 15, 2026. Their return marked the end of a 167-day mission, which was shortened due to an undisclosed medical concern involving one of the crew members, though all crew members were reported stable. Expedition 74, which began on December 8, 2025, and is slated to continue until Summer 2026, is currently maintained by NASA astronaut Chris Williams and Roscosmos cosmonauts Sergey Kud-Sverchkov and Sergei Mikaev. Sergey Kud-Sverchkov has assumed command of the ISS.
