OnePlus has officially launched its highly anticipated Turbo 6 and Turbo 6V smartphones in China on January 8, 2026, marking the debut of a new performance-focused series from the brand. The standout feature across both models is an exceptionally large 9,000mAh battery, a capacity rarely seen in mainstream smartphones, which supports 80W SuperVOOC fast charging and 27W reverse wired charging for impressive endurance. Both devices boast 6.78-inch AMOLED displays, with the Turbo 6 offering a 165Hz refresh rate and the Turbo 6V a 144Hz refresh rate, along with 1.5K resolution. The more premium OnePlus Turbo 6 is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8s Gen 4 chipset, paired with up to 16GB of LPDDR5X RAM and 512GB of UFS 4.1 storage. The slightly more affordable Turbo 6V runs on the Snapdragon 7s Gen 4 processor, featuring up to 12GB of LPDDR4X RAM and 512GB of UFS 3.1 storage. Both phones come with a 50MP primary rear camera, a 2MP monochrome sensor, and a 16MP front-facing camera. They also feature multiple IP ratings (IP66, IP68, IP69, and IP69K) for enhanced dust and water resistance, running on ColorOS 16 based on Android 16. While initially launched in China, there is significant speculation that these devices could be rebranded and launched in India as part of the OnePlus Nord 6 or Nord CE 6 lineup, making this news highly relevant for the Indian market.
