Renault India concluded December 2025 with a robust sales performance, recording a significant 33.46% year-on-year (YoY) growth, with total domestic dispatches reaching 3,845 units. This positive trend also saw a 5% month-on-month (MoM) increase from November 2025. The Renault Triber continued to be the brand's strongest performer, selling 2,324 units and showing a 40% YoY growth and a 12.6% MoM increase. The Triber alone contributed over 60% of Renault's total monthly sales, highlighting its crucial role in the company's India strategy. The Renault Kiger also demonstrated impressive growth, with sales nearly doubling to 1,152 units compared to December 2024. Conversely, the Renault Kwid faced a challenging month, with sales plummeting to 369 units, reflecting a 41% YoY and 17% MoM decline.
Nissan India, on the other hand, experienced a subdued performance in December 2025, with domestic sales declining by 10.2% YoY to 1,902 units. Its sales remained virtually flat month-on-month, dipping marginally by 0.31% from November 2025. The Nissan Magnite remained the sole volume driver for the brand in India, contributing 100% to its domestic sales. While the Magnite has been instrumental in keeping Nissan relevant in the competitive Indian market, the absence of additional models continues to restrict the brand's overall growth potential. Both manufacturers are placed at 11th and 12th position respectively on the OEM-wise sales charts for December 2025.
