LG Electronics has officially brought back its acclaimed 'Wallpaper TV' concept at CES 2026, unveiling the new LG OLED evo W6. This latest iteration revives the ultra-thin design first introduced in 2017, now significantly enhanced with cutting-edge technology. The W6 model measures an impressive 9mm thick, allowing it to sit almost flush against the wall, creating a truly integrated aesthetic.
A standout feature of the OLED evo W6 is its 'True Wireless' connectivity. Unlike its predecessor which required a cable to a soundbar housing connections, the new model utilizes a 'Zero Connect Box'. This external unit transmits visually lossless 4K video and audio wirelessly to the display from up to 10 meters away, thereby eliminating visible cables running to the TV panel itself, save for the power cord. This advancement significantly enhances the clean, minimalist look the Wallpaper TV aims to achieve.
Beyond its sleek design and wireless capabilities, the LG OLED evo W6 incorporates LG's new 'Hyper Radiant Color Technology,' promising improved brightness, color accuracy, black levels, and reduced reflections. LG claims the W6 can achieve up to 3.9 times higher luminance than conventional OLEDs through its Brightness Booster Ultra system, and it has received 'Reflection Free Premium' certification. Powering these enhancements is the new α (Alpha) 11 AI Processor Gen3, which optimizes picture and sound quality. The TV also boasts advanced gaming features, including support for a 4K 165Hz refresh rate, NVIDIA G-SYNC compatibility, and AMD FreeSync Premium. While initial pricing details are not yet available, LG suggests it will be more reasonable than the original high-priced Wallpaper TV. This launch is a significant highlight from CES 2026, reinforcing LG's commitment to design-forward and technologically advanced OLED displays globally.
