JK Tyre & Industries Ltd. has officially commissioned Phase III of its capacity expansion and modernization project at the Banmore manufacturing facility in Madhya Pradesh. This strategic move significantly boosts the plant's production capabilities for passenger car radial (PCR) tyres. With the latest expansion, the Banmore facility's production capacity has soared to 30,000 PCR tyres per day, equating to an impressive annual output of approximately 10.5 million units. This substantial increase reinforces JK Tyre's overall passenger car radial capacity in India to approximately 16 million tyres per year, solidifying its position in the segment. The expansion is part of a multi-phase investment plan by JK Tyre exceeding ₹1,000 crore, aimed at strengthening its domestic manufacturing infrastructure. The investment is crucial for meeting the consistent demand from original equipment manufacturers (OEMs), the aftermarket segment, and expanding export opportunities across global markets.
