Tata Motors officially launched the highly anticipated 2026 Tata Punch Facelift in India on January 13, 2026, marking a significant update to its best-selling micro-SUV. The refreshed Punch features notable exterior and interior revisions, drawing inspiration from the Punch EV. Key design differences between the facelifted ICE (Internal Combustion Engine) Punch and the Punch EV include a slimmer black strip for the grille and individual LED DRL units on the ICE model, while the Punch EV sports a closed-off panel and sleeker, connected LED DRLs. Both models, however, feature LED DRLs that double as turn indicators. Inside, the Punch Facelift introduces a dual-tone grey and blue theme for the seats, contrasting with the Punch EV's dual-tone white-grey interior for an airier feel. Both versions offer front and rear centre armrests, though the rear lacks cupholders. Significant feature upgrades for the facelift include a new 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system with slimmer bezels, a new two-spoke steering wheel with an illuminated Tata logo, redesigned touch-based AC controls with physical toggles, and a 360-degree camera. Under the hood, the 2026 Tata Punch Facelift now offers a new 1.2-litre turbo-petrol engine, derived from the Nexon, alongside the existing 1.2-litre naturally aspirated petrol and CNG powertrains. The facelift also brings the segment-first CNG-AMT combination. Safety has been significantly enhanced, with 6 airbags now standard across all variants, along with ESC, ABS with EBD, hill hold assist, ISOFIX child seat mounts, and reverse parking sensors. The Punch Facelift has also achieved a 5-star safety rating from Bharat NCAP. The new Punch Facelift is priced between ₹5.59 lakh and ₹10.54 lakh (introductory ex-showroom), while the Punch EV ranges from ₹9.99 lakh to ₹14.44 lakh. This launch positions the Punch Facelift to further strengthen Tata's dominance in India's compact SUV segment.
