The highly anticipated 2026 Tata Punch facelift is set to officially launch in India on January 13, 2026. This comprehensive update marks the first major revision for Tata Motors' popular micro-SUV since its debut. The facelift introduces a refreshed exterior design, taking cues from the Punch EV, featuring slimmer LED DRLs, a redesigned grille and bumper, new LED headlights, connected LED taillights, and updated 16-inch alloy wheels. Significant changes are also seen inside the cabin. The updated Punch boasts a new two-spoke steering wheel with an illuminated Tata logo, a larger 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, and a 7-inch digital driver's display. The AC controls have been revised to a touch-based interface, and new dual-tone seats with improved upholstery are also part of the package. Under the hood, a major highlight is the introduction of a new 1.2-litre turbo-petrol engine, which will be offered alongside the existing 1.2-litre naturally aspirated petrol and CNG powertrains. This addition is expected to significantly boost the Punch's performance. Safety has also been a key focus, with the facelifted model now offering six airbags as standard across all variants, along with Electronic Stability Control (ESC), a 360-degree camera system, and a Tyre Pressure Monitoring System (TPMS). The variant lineup has been streamlined to six trims: Smart, Pure, Pure Plus, Adventure, Accomplished, and Accomplished Plus S. Expected pricing for the 2026 Tata Punch facelift is anticipated to start from around Rs 5.3 lakh to 6 lakh (ex-showroom). This update aims to strengthen the Punch's position against rivals like the Hyundai Exter and Maruti Suzuki Ignis in the competitive micro-SUV segment.
