These Amrit Bharat Express trains are characterized by their non-air-conditioned coaches, offering both sleeper and unreserved facilities, designed for journeys exceeding 800 km or taking over ten hours. Introduced as a flagship initiative, the Amrit Bharat Express services feature modern amenities such as ergonomically designed berths, modular toilets, LED lighting, CCTV surveillance, and mobile charging facilities, ensuring improved passenger comfort and safety. The trains operate on a push-pull technology with a locomotive at each end, enabling quicker acceleration and braking, and a maximum operational speed of 130 kmph. Following this, an additional five Amrit Bharat Express trains are slated for flag-off on January 18, 2026, bringing the total number of new services added over two days to nine.
