Pokémon GO is set to launch its Kyurem Fusion Raid Day event on Saturday, January 10, 2026, from 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. local time across the globe. This highly anticipated event will feature the legendary Pokémon Reshiram, Zekrom, Black Kyurem, and White Kyurem appearing more frequently in five-star raids, rotating every half hour. Reshiram and Black Kyurem will appear first, followed by Zekrom and White Kyurem. The event offers significant bonuses, including an increased chance to encounter Shiny Reshiram, Shiny Zekrom, and Shiny Kyurem. Trainers can receive up to five additional free Raid Passes from spinning Gym Photo Discs, totaling six, and the Remote Raid Pass limit will increase to 20 from January 9, 5:00 p.m. to January 10, 2026, 8:00 p.m. PST. Raids will also yield Fusion Energy, which is crucial for fusing Kyurem. A key aspect of the event is the ability to fuse Kyurem into its more powerful forms: Black Kyurem and White Kyurem. To create Black Kyurem, trainers must fuse Kyurem with Zekrom, requiring 1000 Volt Fusion Energy, 30 Kyurem Candy, and 30 Zekrom Candy. For White Kyurem, Kyurem is fused with Reshiram, needing 1000 Blaze Fusion Energy, 30 Kyurem Candy, and 30 Reshiram Candy. If the base Kyurem knows the exclusive Charged Attack Glaciate, the fused forms will learn powerful new exclusive moves: Black Kyurem will learn Freeze Shock, and White Kyurem will learn Ice Burn. Black Kyurem, with Dragon Tail as a Fast Move and Freeze Shock as a Charged Move, emerges as a top-tier Dragon and Ice attacker, lauded for its high damage output.
