He explicitly claimed to receive regular invitations from the Pakistan Army, including to lead funeral prayers for its soldiers. Kasuri, widely believed to be a mastermind behind the April 22, 2025, Pahalgam terror attack in Jammu and Kashmir that resulted in 26 fatalities, also asserted that India 'is scared of him.' He further criticized India's 'Operation Sindoor,' which targeted terrorist infrastructure in Pakistan and Pakistan-occupied Kashmir following the Pahalgam attack, stating that India made a "big mistake" by only hitting terror hideouts.
