In a tragic road accident that occurred in the early hours of Friday, January 9, 2026, near Indore, three young lives were lost, including individuals with prominent political connections in Madhya Pradesh. The accident took place around 5:15 AM near the Ralamandal area on the Tejaji Nagar bypass when the car they were traveling in collided with a truck. According to police reports, Prakhar Kasliwal was driving the Tata Nexon car, and initial investigations suggest he was under the influence of alcohol and lost control of the vehicle. Liquor bottles were reportedly found inside the mangled car. The group was returning after celebrating Prakhar Kasliwal's birthday in Mhow when the fatal crash occurred. Another passenger, Anushka Rathi, sustained serious injuries and has been admitted to a private hospital for treatment. Senior district administration and police officials visited the accident site. The police have registered a case and initiated an investigation to ascertain the exact cause of the mishap. The truck driver involved in the collision has been taken into custody for questioning.
